How to Make 3 Christmas Mug Cookies

3 Christmas mug cookies bring holiday cheer to life in the simplest, sweetest way. Each mug holds a little taste of December magic — the scent of sugar, butter, and spice filling the kitchen just like Grandma’s.

  • Total Time: 4 minutes
  • Yield: 3 mugs (1 per flavor)

Ingredients

Scale

**Sugar Cookie Mug**

2 tbsp butter (melted)

3 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp milk

½ tsp vanilla extract

6 tbsp all-purpose flour

⅛ tsp baking powder

Pinch of salt

**Cocoa Cookie Mug**

2 tbsp butter (melted)

3 tbsp brown sugar

1½ tbsp cocoa powder

2 tbsp milk

5 tbsp flour

½ tsp vanilla extract

⅛ tsp baking powder

**Gingerbread Cookie Mug**

2 tbsp butter (melted)

3 tbsp brown sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp molasses

6 tbsp flour

⅛ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp ground ginger

Optional Toppings:

Crushed candy canes

Mini marshmallows

White chocolate drizzle

Instructions

1. Melt butter in a microwave-safe mug.

2. Add sugar, milk, and flavoring (vanilla, cocoa, or molasses) and stir until smooth.

3. Mix in dry ingredients until a soft, thick dough forms.

4. Microwave for about 1 minute for sugar and gingerbread versions, or 1 minute 15 seconds for cocoa version.

5. Let cool slightly before topping with your favorite holiday decorations.

6. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet holiday magic.

Notes

Microwave strength affects cooking time; start shorter and add a few seconds if needed.

Top while still warm for melting effect.

These cookies also make great gifts — mix dry ingredients in jars tied with ribbon.
