Description
A cozy and quick chai spice mug cake infused with chai tea, warm spices, and ready in 2 minutes. A soft, spiced treat for any time of day.
Ingredients
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar (brown or coconut sugar works)
½ tsp baking powder
1½ tbsp oil or melted butter
3 tbsp milk (any kind)
1 chai tea bag
Instructions
1. Warm milk in microwave for 20 seconds.
2. Steep chai tea bag in milk for 3–5 minutes.
3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking powder.
4. Add oil and combine.
5. Squeeze tea bag into milk, then pour milk into dry ingredients.
6. Stir until smooth.
7. Spray mug and pour in batter.
8. Microwave 60 seconds; add 15 seconds if needed.
9. Let cool slightly and enjoy.
Notes
Use non-dairy milk and oil for a fully vegan mug cake.
Top with cinnamon sugar, frothed milk, or whipped cream.
Customize with chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips.
