Ingredients
3 tbsp flour (regular, whole wheat, or gluten-free)
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp sugar (white, coconut, or erythritol)
1 ½ tbsp melted butter or oil
3 tbsp milk (any kind)
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp vanilla extract
1 small candy cane, crushed
Optional: drop of pure peppermint oil
Instructions
1. Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, and sugar in a mug.
2. Add crushed candy cane and stir.
3. Pour in butter, milk, vanilla, and peppermint oil.
4. Mix until smooth.
5. Microwave on high for 1 minute; check doneness.
6. If needed, microwave for 15 seconds more.
7. Top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes.
Notes
Make it vegan: use coconut oil and almond milk.
For gluten-free: use a gluten-free flour blend.
Serve with hot cocoa or peppermint latte.
