Description

Ingredients

1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup milk
1 1/2 tablespoons butter (melted)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon cream cheese (softened)
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract


Instructions

Spray the inside of a microwave-safe mug with nonstick baking spray.
Add flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon into the mug. Whisk gently with a fork until evenly mixed.
Pour in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and combined, making sure to scrape the bottom of the mug.
Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the batter and use the tip of a knife to swirl it into the top layer.
Microwave the mug cake for 45 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on microwave wattage, until the cake is set but soft.
While the cake cooks, stir together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Microwave glaze for 10 seconds if needed to remove lumps.
Drizzle glaze over the warm cake and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Microwave wattage varies; start with 45 seconds and increase in 10-second increments if needed. For dairy-free versions, use non-dairy milk and plant-based butter. Glaze consistency can be adjusted with more milk. Use a 12 to 14 oz mug for best results.
