Ingredients
2–3 Medjool dates, pitted and chopped
1 tablespoon hot water
2 tablespoons almond flour
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon maple syrup
2 tablespoons almond milk
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Optional: chopped walnuts, cinnamon, or chocolate chips
Instructions
Add chopped dates and hot water to a microwave-safe mug. Let soak for 2 minutes, then mash gently.
Add almond flour, cocoa powder, maple syrup, almond milk, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until fully combined.
Fold in any optional toppings.
Microwave on high for 60 to 75 seconds, or until the top is just set.
Let sit for 30 seconds before serving. Enjoy warm, directly from the mug.
Notes
Do not overmix or overcook. For extra moisture, add 1 teaspoon of Greek yogurt or tahini.
To make it nut-free, use oat flour instead of almond flour and rice milk.
Dates add natural sweetness and fiber—no added sugar needed!
