Ingredients
5 tablespoons milk
1 egg
1 tablespoon sugar or maple syrup
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon raisins
5 tablespoons cubed buttered bread (about 1 slice)
Instructions
1. Whisk milk, egg, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla in a microwave-safe mug until smooth.
2. Cut a buttered slice of bread into cubes and add to the mug.
3. Sprinkle raisins and press them slightly into the custard.
4. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to soak.
5. Microwave for 1–1½ minutes until the custard puffs and sets.
6. Cool slightly, then enjoy warm with cinnamon sugar or cream.
Notes
For a no-egg version, use 1 tbsp custard powder or 2 tbsp heavy cream.
For dairy-free, swap milk with oat milk and use vegan butter.
Add caramel drizzle, whipped cream, or berries for extra flavor.
