Ingredients
6 tablespoons boxed cake mix (any flavor, vanilla, chocolate, or spice)
4 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons melted coconut, canola, or vegetable oil
Frosting and sprinkles (optional, for topping)
Instructions
1. Spray an 11–12 oz microwave-safe mug with cooking spray.
2. Add 6 tablespoons cake mix, 4 tablespoons water, and 2 teaspoons oil into the mug.
3. Mix gently until smooth and combined.
4. Microwave on high for 1 minute 10 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds.
5. Let cool for 2 minutes, then top with frosting or sprinkles and enjoy.
Notes
To lower calories, reduce cake mix to 5 tablespoons and replace oil with 1–2 tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce or pumpkin puree.
For a richer version, add chocolate chips, cinnamon, or a swirl of Nutella.
Store dry mix in airtight jars for up to 3 months.
