Ingredients
¼ cup + 1 ½ tsp all-purpose flour (35 g)
2 tbsp sugar (25 g)
¼ tsp baking powder (1 g)
Dash of salt
2 tbsp butter, melted (28 g)
3 tbsp milk (45 ml)
½ tsp vanilla extract (2.5 ml)
1 tsp sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
1. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt to a microwave-safe mug and stir.
2. Stir in milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth, scraping the bottom.
3. Fold in sprinkles if using.
4. Microwave for 70–90 seconds until cake is set but still slightly shiny on top.
5. Let rest in the microwave for 1 minute before enjoying.
Notes
Cook time may vary depending on microwave wattage. Start with 70 seconds and add more only if needed.
Don’t overmix the batter—stop once smooth.
Letting the cake rest for 1 minute after cooking helps it finish setting gently.
