2 tbsp unsalted butter2 tbsp chocolate chips3 tbsp plain all-purpose flour2 tbsp cocoa powder1/4 tsp baking powder3 tbsp light brown sugar2 tbsp milk1/4 tsp vanilla extractPinch of salt1 small egg, lightly whisked4 Rolos or chocolate-covered caramel candiesChocolate chips, for servingConfectioners' sugar, for serving

Instructions

1. Place the butter and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe jug and microwave for 30 to 60 seconds until melted.

2. Add flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, brown sugar, milk, vanilla extract, salt, and whisked egg. Whisk until smooth.

3. Pour the batter into a large microwave-safe mug.

4. Press 4 Rolos into the center of the batter.

5. Microwave for 90 to 110 seconds until the cake rises above the rim.

6. Carefully remove from the microwave.

7. Top with extra chocolate chips and confectioners’ sugar.

8. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Do not overcook or the cake may become dry.
