Ingredients
MUG CAKE:
All-purpose flour – 1/4 cup
Brown sugar – 2 tablespoons
Baking powder – 1/4 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon
Vanilla extract – 1/2 teaspoon
Milk – 1/4 cup
Butter (melted) – 1 1/2 tablespoons
CRUMB TOPPING:
Butter (softened) – 1 tablespoon
Brown sugar – 2 tablespoons
All-purpose flour – 1 tablespoon
Cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla; stir until smooth.
3. In another bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon with a fork until crumbly.
4. Pour batter into a 10–12 oz microwave-safe mug and sprinkle crumb topping evenly over the top.
5. Microwave on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, until the top looks set but still moist.
6. Let rest for 1 minute before serving warm.
Notes
Use a straight-sided mug for even rising.
Avoid overmixing — stir just until combined.
Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.
Top with a little Greek yogurt or powdered sugar for an easy finish.
